Job Description

A Cafeteria Monitor position (approximately 3 hours per day) is anticipated in the Nazareth Area School District, with an initial assignment at Lower Nazareth Elementary School.   

Qualifications/duties include, but are not limited to:

1. Positive experience working with young people, particularly ages 5 – 10
2. Excellent interpersonal skills
3. Ability to take direction, to show initiative, and to know when either is appropriate
4. Skill in assisting with/ diffusing problems
5. High School diploma required
6. Cafeteria lunch duty.

Salary and benefits will be in accordance with the terms and conditions currently in effect between the Nazareth Area School District and the Nazareth Area Educational Support Personnel Association.  The 2024-2025 rate is $19.11 per hour.  Both internal and external candidates should access the Frontline portal and follow the directions posted to submit their interest in the position. Any candidate not in the Frontline system must submit the following forms:  Act 34 (PA Criminal History) and Act 151 (PA Child Abuse History) clearances, FBI criminal background check, and Act 82 form.  Additional paperwork will be required prior to/upon hire, including but not limited to PA School Health Record with TB test, Act 168 for current and previous employers and I-9 form with appropriate work authorization documents and updated clearances current within one year.
