Key Responsibilities:
Technology Strategy:
Develop and implement technology strategies that align with the Bureau's goals.
Identify and evaluate emerging technologies with potential applications.
Conduct technology assessments to uncover opportunities for innovation and improvement.
Data Management and Analytics:
Lead data governance initiatives to ensure effective management and use of data.
Oversee data analysis efforts to extract insights that drive decision-making.
Utilize data visualization tools to communicate insights clearly and effectively.
Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning:
Explore and implement AI and machine learning solutions to automate tasks and improve decision-making.
Work closely with data scientists and engineers to develop AI-driven solutions.
Assess the ethical implications of AI and promote responsible use of technology.
Cybersecurity:
Stay up-to-date with cybersecurity trends and threats.
Collaborate with experts to safeguard IT infrastructure and sensitive data.
Develop and implement cybersecurity policies and protocols.
Collaboration and Stakeholder Engagement:
Build strong relationships across departments and agencies to address technology needs.
Work with external partners, including technology vendors and academic institutions.
Effectively communicate complex technical topics to diverse audiences.

Required:

Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
Preferred:
Experience working with the Department of State.

The Fine Print:
The salary range for this position is $140,000 - $180,000, depending on experience.
Expected travel: 0-10%, with potential for more based on business needs.
This is a full-time, exempt position.
