Job Title: Payroll Analyst

Location: REMOTE - preference for LATAM candidates

Employment Type: Full-Time, Independent Contractor

Salary Range: $1,500 - $2,000 USD per month (commensurate with location and experience)

With a focus on operational excellence and cost management, the company is seeking a Payroll Specialist to join its finance team.

Role Overview:

As a Payroll Specialist , you will play a critical role in managing billing and financial operations. Your responsibilities will range from preparing and sending invoices to tracking payments and assisting customers with billing inquiries. There is also an opportunity to expand into entry-level accounting tasks based on your skills and growth potential. The ideal candidate will excel in customer service, operate efficiently, and work independently in a dynamic environment.

About the role:

As the Payroll Accountant, you will be a member of the Finance team working
to ensure accurate and timely payroll reconciliation and accounting operations. In this role, you will contribute to the financial health and efficiency of our organization, playing a key role in supporting our growth. Responsibilities
● Prepare and reconcile payroll entries for 11 (and growing) schools as well as
headquarters.
● Ensure accuracy and compliance with relevant payroll regulations and internal
policies.
● Collaborate with finance and HR to resolve payroll discrepancies.

Accounting Functions
● Prepare and record month-end prepaid income entries.
● Prepare and record prepaid expense entries.
● Log and manage depreciation schedules for organizational assets.
● Accurately book and reconcile insurance expenses.

Qualifications
You are set up for success in the Payroll Accountant role if you have:
● Proficiency in QuickBooks and Microsoft Excel.
● A bachelor's degree in accounting (preferred).
● 2-5 years of experience in the accounting field.
● Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work cross-functionally and meet
deadlines.
● A highly detail-oriented and organized approach.

Compensation:

  • Salary: $1,500 - $2,000 USD per month, depending on experience and location.
  • Employment Type: Independent contractor, offering flexibility in working hours.
