Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Senior Data Analyst to join our team for a long-term contract-to-hire opportunity in Newark, NJ. This is a hybrid role requiring 3 days per week onsite. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in Python scripting and SQL for data analysis and reporting, along with exposure to MS Fabric or Power Platform.

Responsibilities:

 

• Design, develop, and maintain data pipelines, reports, and dashboards using Python and SQL.
• Analyze and interpret large sets of structured and unstructured data to deliver insights that drive business decisions.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into analytical solutions.
• Leverage MS Fabric or Power Platform tools to automate and streamline business processes and data workflows.
• Develop complex SQL queries and Python scripts to query, clean, and analyze data from various sources.
• Perform data validation and quality checks to ensure accuracy and reliability of data.
• Provide ongoing support to stakeholders by creating custom reports and interactive visualizations.
• Participate in the design and improvement of the data infrastructure.
• Stay up to date with industry best practices in data analysis, reporting, and automation.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

 

• Strong experience with Python scripting for data analysis, automation, and reporting.
• Advanced proficiency in SQL for querying and manipulating large datasets.
• Proven ability to work with large, complex datasets and derive actionable insights.
• Experience in creating dashboards and reports in Power BI or other reporting tools.
• Exposure to MS Fabric or Power Platform is a strong advantage.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to present complex data insights to non-technical stakeholders.
• Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a hybrid team environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

 

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, or a related field.
• Previous experience working in an Agile environment.
• Knowledge of cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, etc.) is a plus.
